Barcelona Netball Club - Level Up Sports Tournament
We all arrived in time for a good warm up and talked tactics. We played our first match against Berlin who were on great form and, as you can imagine, had height to their advantage. Jayde and Carla had some amazing shots, but it wasn’t quite enough to beat Berlin.
Fully warmed up and ready, we took on Raine, the UK team. They were strong and held their ground but with Amy, Jayne and Helena flying around the mid-court, we scored a win this time around.
After a short break, we played both teams one more time, but then our super GD Bella rolled her ankle, and we were down to just 7 players. Luckily Kat and I managed to hold the defence together, but we were all pretty knackered by this point, and lost our last two matches.
Overall, it was a fun tournament against some fierce and well practised players. Shout out to Amy, the player of the tournament voted by all three teams, who quite literally flew around as our Centre in every match!
